Upcycled

Piet Hein Eek’s Studio: The Dutch designer’s new empire in Eindhoven opened late last year in an old ceramics factory. The 10,000 sq m space was ‘rescued’ and re-crafted into a multi-purpose studio, using original materials from the surrounding, demolished buildings. Salvaged utility pipes have become a feature along the bar, while signage for the opening was created using cleaning brushes. (via Stylus)
